THE 2025 CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2025 TRITON Championship event will take place on October, 24, 25 and 26, in Portimão, Algarve – Portugal. And it will be hosted in the TRITON 3 race format.
Both, TRITON 1 and TRITON 3 races, leading up to the Championship, qualify for the finals.
The Championship event is all about 3 days of racing and celebration in triathlon flagship, racing format. Day one the swim, day two the bike and day three the run and final results / awards.
Every day will feature an extensive program including plenty of entertainment and celebration.
The finals feature:
- A SPRINT a MIDDLE and a LONG distance
- A Corporate World Cup finals
- A Kids & parents fun race
How to qualify for the TRITON World finals:
Finals slots allocation is under TRITON’s base guideline of hosting a maximum number, for safety reasons, and event experience, of participants, that may change from host city to host city.
Direct slot allocation criteria by age-group depends on the total number of series qualifying events and from event to event according to men and women total numbers and percentages.
To ensure fairness and transparency in the process, TRITON uses, as a guideline, the D’Hondt method for the mathematically order.
All previous events, from 2023 and 2024, will be qualifying for this finals first edition.
The finals location is scheduled to change every three years.
The finals race format may change from year to year, from TRITON 3 to TRITON 1, regardless, both formats will qualify for the finals
